benq logo 300x122 BenQ announces R100 tablet for 2011Confirming rumors in recent weeks, BenQ confirmed plans launched its first tablet PC in China and Taiwan in the first quarter of 2011 with the name BenQ R100.

The R100 tablet has a touchscreen LCD display of 1024 x 600 and runs on the Google Android operating system. Inside you will find an ARM-based processor built by Samsung Electronics that operates at 833MHz.

Accepting that the market is filled with major competitors, BenQ R100 expects to sell the new content under different agreements to sell the team along with content such as books, magazines and newspaper subscriptions.

The company indicated that the integrated battery can operate up to twelve hours when the device is used as a reader. It can also be used to take notes to allow writing on the touch screen in English and Chinese.

The R100 has 8GB of internal memory and SD card input support up to 16GB. We also find mini-USB port and mini-HDMI.

Finally I must say that the BenQ R100 measures 191mm x 244mm x 15mm and weighs 720 grams.
