Backing up your files in the cloud with SpiderOak

SpiderOak Backing up your files in the cloud with SpiderOakAlterations to keep our files in the cloud are not few, since there are several services that we offer it, each with different advantages, for example, in the case of Dropbox have the advantage of inter operability, as it is the same experience if we use it on Windows, Linux, Mac, Android or IOS. The trouble is that we have no assurance that we would like, and it is already clear.

So an alternative to this is quite remarkable SpiderOak, a service that can store up to 2GB of your files in the cloud with free registration, then you can extend this space by invitation.

But the most interesting of SpiderOak is the double authentication system that counts, so our files will be encrypted from the moment in which we put in the folder, so we can be sure that neither the employees themselves SpiderOak will access to our files.

Keyboard Shortcuts 300x181 Use Ctrl+Alt+Del to enter the Linux Task Manager If you press Ctrl + Alt + Del on the keyboard while browsing Linux will see that we send to menu “Turn off computer”, if we make the same action would take you to the Windows Task Manager. Today I’ll show you how to change the shortcut from Linux to send them to the Task Manager.

Change shortcuts

To change the shortcuts of any application must access to System / Preferences/Keyboard Shortcuts. Once there we will find the predefined shortcut Ctrl+Alt+Del, which as stated above sends a “shutdown”.

Task Manager

As we shall see in the panel keys combinations Application “Task Manager” is not available there, which is why we create it ourselves. For this we turn to where it says “Add”.

Once there we deployed a small window. Here we insert the name, in this case  Task Manager and the command gnome-system-monitor.

Ctrl + Alt + Del

Once you give “add” will see that your new shortcut will be in the depths of the list in a separate category and in “Off”.

If you click where it says “Off” we ask you to insert the shortcut you want to create. In this case we will use Ctrl + Alt + Del as the tutorial is this, but you can place you want.

Once we make the key combination that will tell us that key combination is already in use by “Turning Off Your Computer”. This we know then we click on “Reassign”.

Ubuntu 1 Ubuntu Start Block Num activatedToday I trust some steps to log into Ubuntu with the keypad lock activated.

First of all let me tell you that I found doing a personal search, as I had filled up the patient having to activate the button Num every day when I had to put the Ubuntu user password.

I guess more people are facing the same problem every day, so I’ll show you how to do, really, really simple.

Numlockx

First of all we must install the program numlockx which automatically after installation is already operating, and do that after you sign the keypad lock is activated only.

Numlockx we can install from the Centre for Software Ubuntu, Synaptic or a terminal.

Activation before logging

It is clear that we have made progress, but we are really looking for is that the button is active before starting the session.

For this we have to go to Applications / Accessories / Terminal or wherever you have ” Terminal “and there wrote:

$ gksudo gedit /etc/gdm/Init/Default (lo copian sin el signo de “$”)

That give and ask them to enter the user password. The registered and display a new window.

Ubuntu 2 300x211 Ubuntu Start Block Num activatedIn this new window you will see a lot of code, please do not touch anything and head to the bottom of the script. In the end will “exit 0″ above “exit 0″ to copy this:

ow [-x / usr / bin / numlockx]; THENI
/ usr / bin / numlockx on
a

After copying, record the file and close it. If you have completed all the steps to the letter the next time the computer will initiate the keypad lock activated.
